The charges against three suspects in the death of a man playing the Summit have been upgraded from manslaughter to murder the Office of the Prosecutor of Union County announced today.
Khayri Williams-Clark, 18, of Summit; Nigel Dumas, 19, of Morristown, and a 17-year resident of Summit have been accused of sexual assault Abelino Mazariego, 1947, died three days later.
The case was referred to the grand jury.
Mazariego was only found in the Top Drive Springfield Avenue on Saturday July 17, around 21:30, according to authorities.
A video recorded at the scene shows a boy who Mazariego his shirt, while another hit him on the face. Investigators believe the attack was not justified.
Williams-Clark paid a deposit of $ 100,000 on Monday. Dumas was held in the Union County jail, instead of $ 250,000. The remains of 17 years in custody in juvenile detention in the province.
