The department announced on Friday that more than 30 celebrities responded to the department‘s call to send out tweets urging resident to avoid the 405 Freeway when it is closed this weekend during “Carmageddon.”

The 405 Freeway will be closed through the Sepulveda Pass beginning Friday night and through Monday morning because of a widening project that requires the demolition of the Mulholland Bridge.
